bp/w - quick rigging question (my first time)

This conversation brings up another question. Up until now I've only dove vest BCs, elevating the courogated hose and left arm to dump air. On the bp/w with the inflator bungied down how do you get the air out? Do you exclusively use the dump valve at the bottom of the wing?

Thanks! Okay, it makes sense that the bungie is for the inflator hose. My wing isn't here yet, so I never thought of that - out of sight, out of mind.

Any idea what the extra 2 keepers are for?

These keepers are for the waist part of webbing as it comes thru the back plate. They are very important to use. Keeps the webbing from sinching tight.
The keepers are simply applied to the webbing on the back side of the plate.

You can't see them in this photo but they are behind the lower slots where the waist webbing comes out

Thanks for your reply. Yep, I got those. There were 9 keepers with the kit. I've got 5 on the 5 D-rings, and 2 on the bottom of the plate. That still leaves 2 left over though.

BREAKING NEWS: I just now got an email back from Ed Graefe and he said they include the two extra keepers for people who want to add extra D-rings (Good call Jason & pants!)

Either use the rear dump on the wing, or raise the inflator and use the deflator button on it. Putting only the LP hose through the bungee makes this much easier than when the corrugated hose is in it.

Thanks pants. My wing showed up in the mail yesterday and I have the whole thing together now (sans cam-bands). I can't wait to get in the pool to trim it out. Thanks everyone for entertaining my questions.

Figuring out your trim is as much about balancing *yourself* using body position as it is about moving gear around. A little practice keeping still in a pool goes a long way

Although I don't recall seeing folks rig this way, they may have intended the two extra keepers to be used for the shoulder slots, but not likely.
