I sold the Dacor Viper metal and Octo on E-bay. I had trouble getting good service, and they did not qualify for the Mares trade up. :(

I bought a Zeagle Flathead. Is this a good reg? LOL I am just poking fun at the folks who buy gear and then come here to confirm if they made a good purchase. Sorry about that.:D

Anyway, Scubatoys is shipping me my newly purchased Zeagle Flathead VI and a TUSA IR3 integrated octo!

Finally, a reg I can ship out for service and know that it will get done right! I also reduce my number of hoses by one. No more octo on a necklace. They also were kind enough to match the price of another online gear seller who does not offer warranties or recall participation.

They are also shipping me two AL 80 tanks. Now I can feel like a real diver-I actually OWN tanks. I got them in shotblast because the quarries and lakes are so rocky here that I do NOT want to be stressed by scratched paint and clear coat. And it aint a fashion show in 100 feet of cold, dark water! :D

I do not think of this as an internet buy though, because I actually called and talked to Joe, he helped me sort through some decisions, and he is in a b+m shop. I also did not go to the LDS to try on their gear and buy online. The LDS's did not offer the brands I wanted.

I just wish my LDS's were as good as these guys.

DivingCRNA: You purhased good quality equipment from a great dive store. You are now "good to go" with your own tanks and a great reg and octo package. Congratulations! Go diving a lot.

The Zeagle is a very good reg, you will get years of use out of it and it's a good one. Congrats! Nothing better than owning ALL of your own gear.

I know. I have been renting tanks for years. What a PIA!

Congratulation!!! You got a good reg.

It's a Navy Class A regulator. You're good to 198 feet. :D

Congrats on being a real diver now!!! Lol. :joke: JK, you already WERE a real diver, but it sure helps a lot more with all your own gear...

Welcome aboard!
