So I'll be in PG from Oct.17 to Oct.30. Already booked Scandi Divers.

Tomorrow I book the flight. My cost for 13 days at the resort plus roundtrip airfare from SFO is $1400.00

That's bargain basement. Of course there are other expenses too.

I should have passport in hand well before.

It's the beginning of typhoon season, so fingers crossed I don't get nailed.

Good luck! For the amount you will spend on air fare, it makes sense to do a round trip covering other destinations in PP as well.

Oh you should be OK regarding typhoons. Of course I can't predict the weather, but Oct is the end of typhoon season, and so far this year, all typhoons formed have moved well north towards Taiwan, China, and Japan. Japan is currently being hit by a pretty strong one too, good luck to them .
