Blue Springs Sat May 13

I am considering heading to Blue Springs Saturday morning for a couple of dives on Saturday, 5/13. Anybody interested in diving with me? I would need to be done for the day by around 1:30 to get to my daughter's soccer game in Greenfield.

Any interest? Looking for a dive buddy or two or three or ....

jim do you know they uped the price? Now $20 for admission. To steep for me to go up for just a dive or 2. if anyone is going for longer, or if I can find some "students" I'd be game for the trip.

Hey Polly. Yeah, I knew they had raised the entry fee. However, being new to diving, I'm very interested in continuing to get in some regular dives as I continue to fine time buoyancy and trim while also gradually gaining more experience. Also, BS is only about 40 minutes from my house, so a little easier to justify than for others.

If you do end up "finding some students", let me know. I have this image of you trolling the halls of your school (or elevators? eyebrow ) looking for poor, unfortunate scuba students. "Hey, kid ... do you want to learn how to dive? Do I have a deal for you!"

Unfortunately, Sat morning is the only possibility for me the weekend of 5/13-14 due to family and church obligations. If your schedule works out and your interested in diving together the morning of 5/13 at BS, PM me sometime next week.

Given any thought to France Park? Not sure where you live, other than IN. I think most of the regulars from last year won't be going to BS.

I am interested in what Rick's income from BS for this year will be. Personally I think he is cutting his throat. I have even heard of a couple dive shops talking about not going.

The reason I was considering BS is because I live in New Palestine which is only 40 minutes or so from BS. It sure sounds like the owners of BS are facing a near mutiny among the diving community. I assume it all has to do with doubling the daily fee to $20. Any other issues with BS?

France Park is definitely a possible site for me. Kokomo is around an hour fifteen - 1.5 hours or so for me. How does the diving compare to BS?
