It was exactly 2 years ago this past weekend that I remember diving with a couple of others there - my home bud's birthday, and first post-certification for then GF. I wore a 5 mil first day, but got chilled, wore 7 mil next day. He was fine in his 7, but she drank cold beverages against my warnings first day and froze in a 7; didn't second day and was fine. Lots of variables.

But the OP went last weekend. Wonder what he did and how he did...?

I dove it in a 3mm with a 7mm shorty that I rented from Stella ....

That is about what I used. I went with my 3mm and the farmer john 7mm top. Worked very well. I added a hood on the night dive and I liked it so much I kept the hood on for the rest of the dives. It would have been a HUGE mistake for me to have just done it in the 3mm. Thanks for the tips all :D I am officially AOW certified WOOHOOoo :bananalama:

Glad you were warm enough, and congrats!

I'm a bit of a HarborSeal, and don't get cold as easily as many. However 3mm in 64F water for more than one dive IMO is a mistake, so I'm glad things worked out!

Now, Time for Rescue! Easily the best Recreational class IMO.
