LOL!
Now you just have to decide which end you want in focus!

Everyone have a safe holiday weekend and if you see a white/forest green contender named Biminitwist at the bridge this weekend stop by and say Howdy.

Good dive this morning. Looked for the lionfish on the boat and couldn't find him. There were 5 of us looking. Then went to the sailboat and found him. The tide had turned and was starting to pick up pretty good. I took a single shot, missed and he disappeared. DRAT. DRAT. DRAT.
Rained like crazy during the dive, and again on exit. We laughed and washed our gear in the runoff from the bridge above. As I was putting away my gear, I realized I lost a fin!!! Asking everybody if they found a fin. Met up with Kevin and some other guys, one of them offering to help me find my fin. He found it within seconds of entering the water. THANK YOU!!! Talking to him after the dive, I learned his buddy got the lionfish at the sailboat, and one other! Whoo hoo!!
Cat saw a turtle. That's two sightings of a turtle, wonder if it's taking up residence..

Believe that's the same creature that I had to inquire about last year. Ain't that Lactophrys trigonus (Buffalo trunkfish), also known as plain old trunkfish?

A different Kevin

Hehe. I'm glad you saw this. The only hc's I've seen recently have been dead. Nice to know they're alive (and procreating)!

Nope. Not the buffalo trunkfish. He has the shape of a cowfish sans the "horns" and has distinctive black on his side. Joanie knows what kind it is.. she took a photo a while back...

Amazing the goodies that fall off boats that can be found there.
I found a nice trolling rod and real, sea doo scooter, a filet knife.

Jenny, great pics from the bridge. It was a good day to dive despite the rain. Glad to hear that you found your fin.
Todays viz was down just a bit but still very diveable. Temps holding at 77F and viz maybe 25 ft. The lionfish tamers were
diving again today but think that they were a little less busy than friday. Nice chatting with you and cat after the dive !
