Saw a lot more stuff but just wanted to get in a quick sample.
Highlight for me was watching mating dragonettes, I think it was Steve patiently waiting for them to rise up for the midwater mating photo op so we didn't get any pictures but was very cool to see.
I tried some video from a distance but didn't want to get in his way.
Very cool dive. But no nudies so we must be slipping......

Just keep rubbing it in. I'm sure to live out my life never having witnessed a fish mating session *NOR* a jawfish with eggs. . . :depressed:

Not sure where you dive but the last time I went (2 or 3 weeks ago), there were about 6 jawfish just north of the little bridge (east side). That day only 1 or 2 had eggs but I find them there all of the time with eggs (this time of the year).

When you register for the webinar, you will receive an email with a link to click on the night of the webinar and a phone number to dial into. I'm not sure if they send a reminder email the night of so keep the original email handy. And one thing to watch for if the webinar doesn't load - look for a popup window on your computer waiting for you to click something to download the webinar. That got me the last week. I ended up with 3 sessions open before I realized what the problem was.

Looks like I'm going to be dragged, kicking and screaming, further into the world of technology.

I'm *also* thinking that I've attended webinars what supplied their *own* dern noise, no??

Dove the Blue Heron Bridge (west side) for the first time today with my girlfriend and scubajim1 as our guide. I had some equipment and weighting issues so we didn't actually get under water until 7:49am, scubajim1 was very patient with us! Top on my list of critters I wanted to see were batfish, well scubajim1 and the bridge delivered. We saw 6 batfish (a couple different species I think). We also saw a curious octopus with a beer can in his lair. Being my first ever dive in Florida a lot of the fish that are common here are new to me, so it was neat just watching all the "common" fish go about their business, looking forward to doing the east side tomorrow!

Thanks again scubajim1!

Time in 7:49am/BT 97 min/ depth 17 ft/water temp 73 ⁰F/ vis 10-25 ft

I enjoyed a great dive today with Jaysun1327 and his gf...after we got the kinks worked out we dove the mirror wreck and the boat channel swim through. Water was cold for at 73 (was diving wet) but our northern guests were quite comfortable.
Saw some horseshoe crabs "not fighting". They asked where Jet was.
All the usual suspects were out this morning, polka-dot and shortnose batfish, common octopus, flounder, and spotted eels.

The hit, I think, for J and J was the common octopus with the can of red bull...she came out to say hi and show off her colors.

Looking forward to diving the east side with the two new Js tomorrow.
Common Octopus

A friend saw a small nurse shark. I have never seen one at BHB.

I saw a 6 ft nurse shark on a night dive with KP last fall. But sadly no photographs - it was moving way too quickly.

LOL. Did't you hear? I biked Shark Valley this weekend and came across some "not fighting" alligators. Plus LOTS of babies. My out of town guests were thrilled!
