i was a little south of the cove watching the waves break at the lj reefs. there were surfers out til dark. they would catch a wave and at times the waves would be 3 times overhead. now thats some serious surf.

That's even bigger than our PHD diver's were going out in. :D

I'm hoping Malaga Cove will be good tomorrow, since it's a north facing beach and PV may be more sheltered by Catalina.

Anyone been by to take a look at that?

Christian
Hi all, I'll drive by Malaga cove sometime before sunset this afternoon and post a divers-eye description. The surfline.com report doesn't usually get updated after 0700 for Haggerty's, so as Jacques Cousteau said, gotta go look and see for yourself... (it sounded better in French.)
Check back here later,

Must admit that such conditions cause me to abort dives. It's not that I'm such a weenie, I just have to carry my camera with me on all dives. It's necessary life support equipment since I'll never see a great white shark while carrying it!

Seriously, I'm going to stick here in the lee of Catalina and hope for the best. You are all more insane than I am so I hope you find good sites to dive "over there" on "the Big Island."

Claudette,

You just need to learn to write with a french accent! :froggy: :lala: :beret: :chef:

I look forward to your eye-witness account.

C'est-a-dire, ""Il faut aller voir," non?

:beret:

Looking forward to hearing what it's really like out there ...
