Thanks. I was wondering whether to include Dry Tortugas. Is there any specific site there that would be good to include?
Texas Rock is always a favorite, as well as Sherwood Forest. I am fond of the Bat Cave and Keeney's Wall, also named Awesome. The South Coaling Dock is probably the finest shore snorkel/dive in the entire keys. A small site, but loaded with tarpon, nurse sharks, bull sharks, goliath grouper, seahorses, the list is endless.

I miss the Spree
All of the Dry Tortugas liveaboards are now gone. Playmate just folded camp.

No one runs day trip out there I guess? Doesn't sound like it would be worth putting these sites in our guide, even if we could get out there to map any of them.

Fond of Carysfort reef and the City of Washington.

City of Washington seems like a good idea to map, especially as we plan to do Elbow Reef. Sounds a little like the SS Copenhagen in Broward. Will also look at Carysfort, which would be one of the furthest reefs north. Thanks.

Thanks for this. Sounds like Dry Tortugas would be great to visit, but hard to get to. The South Coaling Dock sounds like a "must map" location, but for the location. We're keen to add as many shore dive and snorkel spots as possible for the Keys. but I've been told that there aren't any. Do you know if any of the bridges in the keys are used as shore diving or snorkeling spots?

Yes, Finz diving runs day trips.

You didn’t ask what was accessible, you asked where the best diving in the keys is.
