I prefer a big global brand, so if the reg needs a part I'm not out of luck.
With some brands, such as Apeks, kits are easy to obtain for the end user. You could carry a spare rebuild kit with you.

Tell me which reg you would pick for the price range from $200-$350 and why?

Genesis GS2000

Great breathing regulator, performs well under all conditions, easy to upgrade to Nitrox with a viton o-ring kit, excellent value, and excellent service.

The D.A.D. (Dry Air Demand) first stage performs excellent as well.

Try mares proton, they are all over the world and perform great for your kind of diving

Where do you guys buy an APEX ATX50 for less than $300.00???

Aqualung Titan. Looking at one for my son.

I have an Aqualung Titan. Solid, Bullet proof, been around a long time. Mine breathes as easy at 85fsw as it does at 15fsw. The owner of my LDS has stated that if he was buying a reg. for his daughter he would buy an Aqualung Titan. It's not in this price range, but I'd love to have a Legend LX.

It's possible. Even the DS4/TX50! Shipping would be extra though. (PM me if you are curious! :eyebrow: )
