The question wasn't about how deep to dive, or what size pony to carry. It was about how to carry a 13. Side slung, cross slung, or back mounted.

Yeah, but that's the point of scubaboard, sometimes questions generate a discussion that might be helpful to the OP. It's not a legal deposition.

I sling a 13 on the left, as others have described. Not being much of a DIY type, I bought a stage strap kit from Dive Gear Express, the X-Small, which is listed as suitable for 13s and 19s. I found it a little too big for my 13 and had to cut it down a bit (so much for avoiding DIY), and I also swapped out the SS snaps it came with for a pair of smaller brass snaps - the SS snaps seemed a tad overpowered for my little pony.

How is a pony bottle, 13 cu ft in my interest, carried? I have seen some divers attach two brass snap hooks diag across the front attached to BCD. Is this the preferred method? Your thoughts?

don't listen to them these idea are all dangerous !!! The only way to achieve redundancy is do use a set double 80 S back mounted with a manifold and a 7 foot long hose !!!! Otherwise who's knows could happen !

I am using a 30 CF sling on my left with two bolt snap work great ! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
