Those stink and they're fugly! I don't care how much they cost or if they're rated to 3000 ft, I'd rather buy 20 Citizens Titanium Aqualand Duplex for what one of those cost!

Everyone has different taste in watch designs, but I don't understand why you feel the need to resort to insults. I don't think Citizens stink, nor do Seiko or any others; they are just different.

I have owned several Citizens as well and they are also fine watches but I don't understand why you have to get nasty about it. Like them or don't; it does not matter to me, I just thought we were posting some personal watch choices and pictures, rather than trading insults.

But the truth of the matter is that the Rolex Seadweller is the ONLY watch to have gone on and survived the record deepest dives ever done by man.

I am not knocking Citizen I have owned several and I like them as well and still own one. That being said, it is also a proven fact that in twenty years a Citizen (if it is still running) will be worth next to nothing, but a Rolex will be worth much more than what you paid for it. So after the 20 year old Citizen is ready to throw in the trash, I could sell my Rolex and buy a couple of brand new Citizens and pay for a dive vacation to take them on.

Here are three of my Citizen watches and I still own the one on the right and really like it as well.

I also like Seikos and still own the one on the right of this picture.

But my favorites in the water are still the Rolexes. This is my Seadweller on a dive in Puerto Rico.

Rolex is a GREAT watch. Boring and most you see are fake anyway, but still greeat watch. And if your diving 400ft plus you can pretty much bank on the fact it will be the most dependable.

For us mortals, Citizen, Zodiac, Seiko etc..will do the trick just fine

Working dives: Shark $40

Fun dives and every day: Citizen Eco-Drive Diver's in titanium (anniversary gift :D )

IWC Aquatimer Chrono.
One of the only chronograph watches designed to be operated at depth. It will do 3 seperate timing functions on top of the regular anolog clock.
Not cheap though......

What is a SHARK?

"any of numerous mostly marine cartilaginous fishes of medium to large size that have a fusiform body, lateral branchial clefts, and a tough usually dull gray skin roughened by minute tubercles and are typically active predators sometimes dangerous to humans"

Gee, you guys who only dive in fresh water really need to get out more.

Oh, it is also a model of watch sold by Freestyle.

C'mon, where's ur sense of humor? u set yourself up for that one. :mooner:

One of the funnier posts I've read in a while. :rofl3:

being a watch freak-geek I own an omega speedmaster pro x33(33meters),a rolex gmt master II(100m),a panerai luminor marina(300m) a bulgari scuba chrono(200m) a breitling emergency(50m) an IWC aquatimer titanium(2000m)and (to my opinion)the ultimate:breitling avenger chrono m1 ...the only chrono rated and OPERATIONAL at 1000m(all others I know of(not sure about the zenith defy extreme chrono),have non functioning mechanically operated push pieces at these depths.you have to keep them screwed in so they retain their water resistance.this one has magnetically operated push pieces!!!.its also not THAT expensive compared to the others)....but I still dive wearing a casio G-shock mudman.its not my favorite(the m1 and the x33 are)but it i:scared:s very reliable in stress freeing me from scratching the crystals(the panerai was injured in a dive and I got very close to an infarct!!!)

Early 90's Citizen Aqualand Duplex (old yellow face).

I love it as a back-up for depth and bottom time.

I always forget to shut off the depth alarm and it drives me crazy... (my fault):D

I sent it in about two years ago for it's second battery change, since I bought it in 94? or so. They cleaned it, as part of the battery service. I also had the crown and bezel replaced as they were showing alot of wear. The price was reasonable and the watch is like new.

That watch has kept perfect time (per the USNavy master clock) since I first put it on.

I wear it as a redundant computer and wouldn't trade it for any other.

Although... I have to admit, I have been looking at the eco-titanium models, lately...
