I've been a consistent Garmin user for the last six years or so. I've owned the Descent Mk1, Mk2s, and now the Mk3si (granted I work for a dive shop and get these significantly discounted). I absolutely love their in water and smart aspects. In terms of things like sleep tracking, step counting, and fitness uses, I don't think any other "dive computer" could ever come close. I've used it on multiple hikes at altitude as well, and I will say that the specific altitudes may be off, but the other tracking was fantastic, even when cell signal was lost.

As a dive computer, I've been even more pleased. I enjoy the ability to quickly change things like gas mix, gradient factors, and PPO2 settings. I would recommend the larger models for ease of seeing the numbers, but the display (especially on the Mk3 models) is very bright and vibrant, and the dive screens can be cycled, which means even if a number like NDL is small on one screen, it very well may be the largest number on the next screen.

I saw earlier that somewhat brought up syncing with divelog software-I don't have experience with this as Garmin has their own dive app where I log all dives. This is easily accomplished via bluetooth connection after the dive. All that is required is opening the app and it will automatically sync. The computer is also fairly reliable at logging dive location, and there is a map that can be pulled up that displays each dive as a little dot, which I always find neat.
