How do you use the NDL calculator on this watch?

It is not really a calculator, it is the old Navy Tables, 60 minutes at 60 feet, 30 minutes at 90 feet, 25 minutes at 100 feet and 10 minutes at 130 feet and so on, for example, you just read across.

I am a dive watch collector and yes, I usually dive with a mechanical dive watch, except with drysuit. I own probably 50 dive watches in my collection from Citizen (excellent dive watches) to Rolex, going thru Omega, Seiko, Sinn...
The watch of my avatar is a Seiko SD 600m.
Is it useful underwater ? Humm, not really, except to have the time to get out of the water for "apéritif", very important moment !

My current watch is a Tag Huer, that I've had since 1991, a gift to myself after surviving Gulf War 1, and its been on more than 2,000 dives

Like I said last month (post #103 above), my Citizen Promaster Aqualand 200m Depth Meter watch malfunctioned a second time in three years on mild dives. The most recent repair estimate from Citizen is $724.56 while a new one costs $746.25.

BTW, the problems found are moisture inside the watch, rust on the stem and moisture inside the movement. I'm not sure how those are not symptoms of a manufacturer defect (and I'm well within the five year warranty). I guess a careless individual could leave a crown extended but I'd think Citizen would give an active diving customer the benefit of the doubt. Au contraire, mon frère de plongée.

Since my Citizen watch doesn't have any sentimental value, I'm done with it. I'm just going to stick with my Excursion in gauge mode alongside cut tables on a wrist slate as the backup to my Perdix.

How do you like these? Reliable?
