We're going to be in L.A. over Christmas and was thinking of diving in Mexico. We live in Jersey and have dived all over the Caribbean and Costa Rico. I thought it might be a easy trip from L.A. either by car, train, some way other than air with all the hassle with the dive equipment to go to Mexico for some great diving. Does anybody have any web sites or ideas for 3-5 days of diving. Thanks

Thanks for the referral. If the diving at baja outpost is half as good as the web site indicates it definately warrants a 90 minute plane flight. I didn't realize how far it would be to drive for a good dive location in Baja but 1-2 hours pland flight is definately worth it for great diving.

Yeah, the peninsula is around 1,000 miles long. To drive to Loreto takes a good two days of driving from San Diego.

The diving in Bahia De Los Angeles is good too. LA Bay is about a 10-12 hour drive from the border. In LA Bay, you really should have your own boat.

If you're coming from New Jersey, the plane is the way to go. Loreto gets over looked by many people because of La Paz and Cabo. Loreto remains my favorite.

If you hit it right down there, you should have some awesome dive experiences!

good luck...

We are heading to La Paz at the end of the month and staying at Club Cantamar www.clubcantamar.com . Will give a report when I get back.

Have a great trip and looking forward to your report. I do underwater video so I'm particularly interested in the wildlife. Thanks

I just got an email from the resort a couple days ago and they have been seeing whale sharks and hammerheads on a daily basis. I hope they hang around till we get there! I'm going to be videoing while I'm there. I'll let you know how it goes.
