We have Mares Abyss primaries and Axis as octos. Neither has experience a free flow problem in the almost 3 years we've owned them. (Variety of dive conditions: salt, fresh, cold (54F) warm, etc.)

It doesn't sound like your LDS is having any success in de-tuning the reg. You might want to contact Mares for another authorized repair facility in your area.

Yeah it looks like Im gonna have to. At least from what people have been posting the Axis seems like a good octo. I hope to get this straightened out as this is very frustrating.
