I can count my warnings on two fingers, but they were both for big-time, high-dollar moving violations...go figure.

Your department must not like you guys, Glocks THEN Berettas... Maybe the department SHOULD get some ticket money so they can issue real guns, H&K or SIG.

:lol: Real guns...get real. :rofl: Off duty I carry a Colt Defender with a Nowlin barrel,Trijicon night sights, and a single-port compensator. On duty, the only difference is that I have 15 rounds in my Para-Ordnance pistol, and the compensator is a Nowlin dual-port. Both are stuffed with Federal 230 grain plus-P Hydrashoks. :lol:

From the cops only, what is a good excuse to get out of a speeding ticket....otherwords, something that made you laugh to let them go.

Once I tried:

Officer: Sir do you know why I pulled you over?
Jepuskar: No officer I don't.
Officer: Well, you were speeding going 60 in a 40.
Jepuskar: Ohh good, I thought it was because I was drunk.

He didnt think it was that funny.

What is the best thing to keep you from getting a ticket other than not speeding? IE: Which radar detecter? Other things?

The Valentine is awesome. Saved me from a ticket...was doing 130. I love that thing. They are like $400 but worth every penny IMO. U have to be sure to get the top of the line. Every now and then it will go off in spots it shouldn't but you will learn those "spots" and know to ignore it. The only thing is if an officer actually "shoots" you - u can't be saved from that as there is only something like 1/2 a second to respond.

Wow, dont sign on for a few hours and have 5 pages to read through. This thread has flown off. To some of the more recent questions, your getting a citation or warning depends on a few things, how fast you were going and your attitude. I have my own little rules I use. 10 over gets you a ticket in residential areas, unless your in a school zone then 5 over will do it. But attitude plays hugely into it as well. If your a , I'll give you a ticket at 5 over. All depends on how you want to play it. I really dont write that many tickets, I do tons of stops, but I have other motives besides tickets. I want to see if your DUI, got warrents, have something in your car, etc...

The age requirment depends on the dept. Some its 21, I know more than a few that only require 19. Just depends.

Not really. If you treat you bad, we can lose our job. Depending on the laws in the area you can actually tell us to ******* Off and theres not a thing we can do about it. As long as you are physically complying with our instructions, you can cuss us out all day long and we cant do anything. Dont go try this though, it all depends on the location as to how strict they are.
