Looking for a regulator model comparison chart for Auqua Lung and Apeks. I have been able to find them for Atomic and Scubapro. I am looking to buy my first regulator and have it narrowed down to a Atomic Z3X, or a scubapro MK25EVO/S600 and would like to look at the Aqua Lung and Apeks product lines but cannot find a good feature comparison chart anywhere.

Nothing available from Apeks though. If you have any questions though, speak up.

Instead of buying the newest Scubapro MK25EVO/S600 regulator, why not buy the best Scubapro, a MK25EVO/G260?
It's cheaper, it'll breathe better, is easier to service and a joy to adjust underwater.
For 30 years discerning tech divers have been buying the G260 and it's predisesser the G250, simply because they couldn't find anything better.

As far as Aqualung/Apeks - the Apeks are great regulators, very popular with tech divers but need to be serviced much more often than the MK25/G260.

JackD342 thanks for the great info. Could you attach the PDF or a hyperlink to the file? I am not able to read the text in the image.
Let’s try it this way... if you still can’t read it pm me your email address. SB seems to lower the resolution of the screen grab.

Out of curiosity, what are the issues you see with Apeks that require more servicing than the Scubapro model?

The very soft rubber seat on the 2nd stage quickly takes a set and has to be replaced every 2 years if you want your WOB to stay reasonable. The good news is the the Scubapro rubber seat is a drop in replacement, is much harder and doesn't gripe ever after 5 years of hard use.

The newest SP is the Mk25EVO with the S620Ti. I agree with you on the G260.

That's interesting. I dont notice a big difference in second stage seat longevity.

I thought you might be referring to sand intrusion under the venturi lever and/or mineral buildup around the adjustment knob on Apeks. I generraly address those issues with cleaning rather than an overhaul.

The mk25s generally exibit some level of ip creep before locking in and nine times out of 10 when i have to overhaul a first stage due to excessive creep, it's a Scubapro. It's rarely an Apeks.
