I recently spotted the Aqua Lung Look 2 mask. It seemed like a decent option for a prescription mask, since you can order corrective lenses and install them yourself. (Inexpensive way to replace my current 12 year old prescription mask). Seemed to fit well in the store. Has anyone had any experience with this mask? Any other suggestions for prescription masks where you can install the lenses yourself?

Thanks,
Dave

Hi TravelDave,

The Look 2 is an excellent choice and it seems to fit a lot of people. The option of adding an optical lens is a nice bonus too!

Cheers,

If it fits well in the store just purchase the mask and lens at the store. The LDS should be able to install the lens for you as a customer service courtesy at no charge and give you the blank lens when done.

I have used mine for two trips (about 30 dives total). LOVE IT! No problems. No issues. Due to an injury to my left eye I have limited use in that eye. Even so, the placement of the correction allowed me to see things up-close. I know underwater things are magnified, but I still went with a little stronger than my "top side" prescription, just to help compensate for the limited vision.
