I've got one of these. They come in different colours which indicate the length of chord.
What can I say..........It's a cast aluminium spool. Yes it's negative, you drop it, it's gone and happy days winding up the chord.......it's aluminium after all. I use my double ended clip to hook the chord and the spool through one of the finger holes, which then locks the chord/spool and you can work hands free with it dangling in the water, very useful technique for your safety stops as you know the reel is locked at 5m-or whatever you need, and surprise surprise, the metal double ended clip makes everything even more negative-so this works with pretty much all spools, no need for an aluminium one.
Is it worth the extra money? Probably not. It's good quality, but how much quality do you need in a cast aluminium spool?
