Vie:Its a great book (Im assuming you are talking about JJs Doing It Right: the Fundamental of Better Diving) but they need a second edition soon, IMHO, as DIR is constantly evolving. Theres also a new GUE-approved book by Dan MacKayDress for Success, The Essentials of Diving Part I: Equipment.

Vie:If its any consolation, the less comfortable condition and more gears (to manage) probably gave you a more comprehensive/challenging training experience.
