Got this in my email this morning from Joel at TDL...looks like an awesome deal, considering Highland bands are usually $160-$170

TB-700, 725, and 800 Bands
When Joe McGrath retired and sold off Highland Millworks name we got worried we would never have a tank band again as good as Joe's. He set the standard for tank bands. But once he was retired we needed to get bands made to as high a quality as he made. So we set out with some partners to make the finest tank bands available.

TDL Stainless Steel Tank Bands for cylinders that have a diameter of 7.00, 7.25 and 8.00 inches.

Our bands are 716 stainless and are 2.5" wide to accommodate all cylinder heights..

Our bands are manufactured to the highest standards and then are electropolished to produce a durable finish and a soft edged that protects the finish of your cylinder.

They come complete with stainless steel hex head bolts, washers, nuts and wing nuts.

They fill all popular manifold valves. Including TDL, Thermo, OMS, SanoSub, DiveRite, Salvo, and more....
This is a special introductory price for these cylinder bands. We have a limited supply in stock and ready to ship with more on the way. Get in on this introductory offer.

MSRP = $149.95 per pair.

All orders prepaid. Subject to current stock. No additional discounts.

Introductory Price $99.95

And how long will you wait for TDL to ship them? I know they say they are in stock. Yep, heard that one from them and four months later I got my shipment.
BTW, Highland Bands was bought by XS Scuba and as far as I know are still making them to the same standard.

I think Wally is having some negative thoughts about TDL...I'm sorry you had a bad experience :hugs:

I just thought it was a good deal on a set of bands, I was unaware of any shipping issues with them. I've never had any problems out of TDL.

Hey!! What are you doing Saturday????? :jump:

Just trying to keep others from getting burnt like so many of us from SB have. Run the special and pay in full and wait for months while they use your money.
BTW, Scuba.com has Highland (XS) bands for $129.

My next open weekend is Sept. 8-9, maybe the 15-16. Get it while you can they fill up fast. After those two dates it is at least till mid October.

I'll be in Indy on Saturday Morning to take Moonie to get his picture taken with the Lombardi Trophy. I'm hopefully going to meet up with Indydivegal at 11:00!

Wanna Come?

Wish I could. Not sure that I could handle the two of you anyway. :D

Hey crpntr133:
The manufacturing of Highland Bands has moved right here, to Minneapolis. The materials, manufacturing procedures and tooling has no change from when Joe built the bands in Massachusetts. In fact, we flew Joe out here to Sea Pearls for a week to train our guys in the manufacturing of Highland Bands. The only change I have recently made is the addition of the Highland logo stamped into each band. I can assure you, there is no change in quality or materials. Look for more products with the Highland name coming soon.
