Only seeing if anyone has dove recently either Beavertail or Wetherill?

Thinking of a road trip on Saturday if the conditions are in the 5 to 8 foot range.

Thanks :-)

It is getting that time of year.... I think I am going to wait a couple of more weeks. The 5 days of rain will make the water pretty turbid. 5 ft is realistic. Anyone been out there recently to confirm?

Was thinking of possibly today as well. Dove my lake instead. Vis was all gone from all the rain. Temps 54-55.

Dive report 5-19-16 from Gould Island reported 3-5' vis :(

thanks - hope the viz gets better - still looking for a road trip soon... :-)

Afterdark, Gould Island is pretty far up the bay. How did you get out to it? you get your boat working finally?

Heading to FT W for a Fri AM dive. I'll post on the viz

NOAA Buoy Newport shows water temp jump to 57. That is a 3 degree jump in 24 hrs. I am skeptical. I'll let you know Fri.

Someone mentioned diving Fort Adams - is that worth a trip or is Wetherill a better choice? I have not dove Adams - but the topography looks flat and not very exciting. Any thoughts?
tkaelin - let us know your viz... :-) please...

Excellent first dive of the season at ft w. Wonderful weather, incoming tide and first in the water. Viz variable 3-5 at the entry by boat ramp improving to 4-6 at 23 ft along west wall bottom improving to 6-8 going along wall off the bottom. Only a handful of divers here now.
