Hello friends to the north,
I recently released a book, Setting the Hook: A Diver's Return to the Andrea Doria, and have been presenting a 40 minute slide show on the history of both the ship and shipwreck as promotion (and because it's fun). My schedule is starting to fill up with in-state and out-of-state presentation commitments, it occured to me that BC is closer than some of the places I've already booked, and Canadian presentations might even provide a good excuse for a boat ride (Victoria; Vancouver?). I typically bring artifacts along for display (e.g. First, Second, and Third Class China, Promenade Deck Window, and other items recovered by me in the early 1980s).
Are there any clubs, dive shops, museums, etc...that might want to take advantage of this offer? There is no charge, and I typically have a book signing afterward in an attempt to defray travel costs. I would only ask that you try to maximize participation to make the travel worthwhile, and although I don't have any hard and fast rules, it would be nice to see at least 20-30 people for each event. The below links can provide more information. Thanks for your time.
