Running my pony to the sand (Ga)
Hi all. Just wondering if any of you guys/gals know of a place with parking within 1/4 mile, with an entry that won't require rapelling gear (j/K), that has some water over 35 feet (near shore)? Oh, and coming back and finding my tires with the same amount of air as i left them would be nice.

Looking for a shore dive a but deeper than the 25 feet that seems common.

Yup, Fort wetherell RI. nice spot, park and walk into the water in most places.
Ask Chris (aka scubasaurus) the guy's a dictionary on diving in the area.

My suggestion would be to try Nubble Light in York Maine. Parking is right there if you get there early, pretty easy entry/ exit, bathrooms on site, food right there, and plenty to see underwater. Give it a try !!!!!!!!

Ships Cove at Fort Williams, Rt77 Cape Elizabeth Maine. Complete with picnic tables and porta-potties.

Ft Wetherill entry and depth is the reason RI gets peole from all over the east coast. The Ocean State dive shop nearby in Jamestown has a fun dive every sat and sun at 10 am free of charge to serve as a local orientation to diving in the area.

This is why I guard my shore spots so closely ;)

I will PM you with some ideas.

Cathedral Rocks in Rockport, MA offers depths to 80ft or so. It's a bit of a tough walk down to the entry point over some gigantic boulders, but it isn't anything ridiculous.
