On a week day there's OGB, Pebbles,Lobolly Cove,Back Beach. On a wekend there are any of those I've just mentioned, but you have to get there before 9 am.

Those are all pretty shallow sites, OGB being the deepest at around 50-55 ft if you swim way the heck out there....

Cheryl & I were married 25ft under that vessel over 26 years ago. Capt was Bill Cornell and presiding over the services was his wife Paige Cornell.

Walter do remember another Boat that Bill was Captain and Owner of...The "Bottems Up"? They were based in Hypoluxo.

The MV Impossible Dream sank in the Bahamas in the summer of 1984. Too bad, it was a fun live aboard.

Achieved 80+ ft at Nubble a couple of years ago.

I thought Nubble was a 30' dive at high tide. What kind of depths can you get with a normal swim?

--Matt

If you head off in a northerly direction at high tide you can achieve 30+ and you'll not
be too far out. I've heard that if you go to the "back side" of the island it can become rather deep.

The 80+ was achieved during a 75 minute dive and we were not off the back side of the island but we spent the first 20+ minutes leisurely swimming away from shore. When I think back about how far out we probably were I would not do that again.

Getting back to Cat Rocks. Would be appropriate to ask the story behinde the passing away of one of our fellow divers at Cat Rocks ?

I was trained by scuba six so I'll give you a hint. Talk to Woodsy, Dave or Sue Williams and ask them where Addams and Sidford's spot is. You can hit 60+ feet, bugs are everywhere, we've seen all of New Englands best wildlife at this spot. If they tell you it must remain exclusive. Sid ps. Addams and I are looking for an extra diver to join us on a U853 trip next Mon or Tues on the SEEKER if your free to join.
