I have used American Pro two different times. The first I booked 15 of our club members for the Rainbow River drift dive. Everyone enjoyed and had a great time. Ron was very helpful and Ski very helpful getting everyone gear. Mike was a great Captain. He did make fun of my baby tank I brought, but I did stay down for 75 minutes, cause it was a HP80,:rofl3:. Course I gave him back just as much which was all taken in fun, by both.

I used them again with friends and family also to do the Rainbow River dive again. They again were very good with us. I will definately use them again. We had Gene on this dive and he was also very good.

We were early however both times, and not late. We were also organized when we arrived.

I hate seeing a operator getting a bad rep when it isn't all their fault.

Hemlon:
What many people are not remembering is that there were other paid customers at the dive shop who WERE on time and were being delayed due to the OP being late.

How long does it take to have a DM load some tanks and 3 able bodied adults load their bags double time after you

I'll run out of fingers and toes to count the number of times a boat has been held up 10 minutes, misses a bridge, or does a u-turn to head for the dock because someone arrived late, is held up signing in w/ paperwork, or going to park the car.

It happens...get over it... How you respond when everything isn't going perfect is the difference in any operator.

I can't help but notice that Ron at American Pro Dive has logged on to Scubaboard numerous times since his original post on 5/4 but I guess he's just hoping this will go away at this point.

B,

I've never done a manatee trip... When are we going to invade in true SB Conch & E-Divers fashion.....? It might help out the image we've been generating only hanging out at the deep end of the pool...

Tim, I posted a link to my report earlier on in this thread. I'd never go with this company again or recommend them (we were treated like morons). That said, those manatees were freaking awesome! I think you fella's know that I am not a springs type of chickie but to do the manatees again...oh yeah! Birds is where the "real divers" go. I was told this before my trip, I knew better going to AP, so I got what I deserved, I guess. Anyway, you plan a trip to Birds and I can guarantee at least half a dozen or more people from this area that would love to go. :) Serious Conch Invasion :)

I just booked 12 spots w/ Bird's for January 13th, snorkel w/ the sea cows in the morning and Rainbow River Scuba tour for the afternoon. I'll start another thread when I get back from lunch. The good news is, I got the current group rate ($28) which will go up by $13/person starting October 1st, 2007.

New thread here.
