I know this is a long shot, but I'm hoping to find somewhere within a couple of hours of Key Largo where we could get a decent guided dive without the 4-6 foot waves we've been having our entire trip. Our last chance to dive is this afternoon, since we are flying home tomorrow evening. I've been ok (not great), but my son has been feeding the fish every trip and didn't even go out on the boat yesterday (which was smart since all the buckets were in use by other divers). I'd like for him to get in some barf-free diving before we have to head home for the school year.

We both have AOW and are experienced with drift diving if that helps.

The forecast said this afternoon would be less windy. We were at our dive shop this morning looking for an afternoon spot when they got a call from a captain that it's pretty rough and getting worse.

Any suggestions? Doesn't need to be crystal clear Caribbean water, but would rather not be in a murky lake, either.

Anything north of Miami today. Call Force-E in Pompano (954) 943-3483 and they will know which boats are running and have space this afternoon.

I'm heading to Boynton for a 3pm departure today, looks pretty flat right now : HLPS - South View Camera and up in Boynton Boynton Inlet Beachcam

Boynton also has nicer reefs than Key Largo by far.
I noticed that Starfish has an afternoon dive today. I went out with them on Monday and, as usual, had a very good time. Agree regarding the reefs. Boynton Inlet looks great.
