@El Diablo - I was not close enough to see what happened from that point to the surface, and was as couple minutes later getting to the surface from my safety stop. I'm also not sure there was much, if any, water. There was bloody froth that we had to continually clear while doing CPR.

Thanks man, I am sorry for the loss of life and for you having to go though that as well.

RIP.

Sounds like it could be IPE (Immersion Pulmonary Edema), classic symptoms from what I have read and seen.

Hello. Victim's wife here. I appreciate your post on what you observed. As the comments here are really mostly opinions they aren't leading me to the actual CAUSE. But what you've written does have some things that are more than I knew.

So that I'm not discussing in public what happened there (at least for the moment) if anyone was there and especially the MD that was there wouldn't mind reaching out to me so I can talk with them? Oh gosh I would so appreciate that. I've asked and no one will help me with that. I just googled and found this forum. I have to ask.

If you're willing please originate a direct message and maybe we can connect that way.

Thank you in advance.
Laura
Hi Laura,

I would love to get in contact with you.
My mother died about 3 months before your husband with I believe the same diving outfit. Could we trade some information?

Im posting here because the system wont let me DM right now. Im not a scuba diver, just a daughter looking for some answers

Could we chat too once I speak with Laura?
Hi Napodam. I guess the system blocks DMs on new members to prevent tresspassing scammers. Some of the posts you're replying to were from last summer and they may not be here every day so be patient

It seems to be a time thing as I was able to message Laura Howard even tho she has had only one post.
