I shake my head at people's refusal to take advantage of social media as tbat is how people/businesses maximize contacts with (potential)customers and communities by in large.

To demand conversation here is laughable logic and a denial of how the world works.

You are not alone
It's a company run by a bunch of kids who cannot see the big picture and is often annoying as hell.

However as I said in my previous comment....

It is what it is. I just put up with it for the obvious benefits.

The problem with faecesbook, snapagran and others is the way you're a product who gives up all their privacy in exchange for... A few contacts. Cat videos. Etc.

I like to keep my life private such that I don't have to mix my life as a tutu-wearing custard swimming biker; nor my family, etc.

I can search ScubaBoard for lots of great information; some even true. Faecesbook doesn't allow that.

I'm happy that I don't use those big-tech platforms even though it would be nice sometimes.

Curmudgeon, hell yes.

Would you like to use my other FB account Brock O'Lee?

He's FB friend's with Razorista though

You are able to search through FB though

While I am guessing you don't mean to imply that Natalie is selling her principles, given how busy she is with exploring new routes, teaching, living her life, it is not unreasonable for her to be compensated for her time to write articles. They do take a fair bit of time to write properly.
I'm sure she loves her transmitters, but there is no "consumer reports" of scuba gear. Pretty much every review you read anywhere is a paid advertisement.

Cranky old man! You can give FB minimal info. Even make up a DOB! And FB can be searched for specific info. I use that function all the time.

After those b'stards demanded to see my passport and bank statements they can go forth and multiply.

Snivelling wretches the lot of them.

Ummm.. I don't think that was FB? Lol.. .sounds kinda scammy to me?

I don't like FB either, but it's a thing and it's not going anywhere.

Just to add another opinion, I too use air integration/transmitters. When I switched to sidemount, I was originally using SPGs, and then for awhile ran both transmitters and SPGs. I eventually switched to just transmitters. I like the convenience of just looking at my wrist for tank pressures and reducing hoses, orings, spools as a failure point is a small plus. If a transmitter dies or fails to connect on a dive I would treat it like a broken SPG and turn the dive. Additionally I keep a spare SPG in the save a dive kit for issues that may arise prior to the dive. Had to use it once due to failure to connect to transmitter and it wasn't a big deal. Haven't had any other issues.

That said, I do use SPGs on stage bottles/O2, though I'm not super opposed to switching assuming I'm only carrying a max of four tanks (# of transmitters my Perdix supports)
