I'm not 48, I'm 18 with 30 years of experience!

(Still sounds old doesn't it?)

The data says that I only have 7 more years left to dive? There seems to be quite a break at 55. One day at a time right?

it's not how old you are that counts it is how old you feel.
Some days I feel 90;-0

Then you must be, like me, one of the 2 65+'s. <G>

Nearing 30, but I just got a new BCD this week and walked around my house with BCD reg and tank and felt like I was 10 at Christmas time!!!:madelf:

Well, I guess I should reveal my true age of 55. It's hell seeing your age posted on most roadway signs. I can remember when I thought 30 was old, now the 65+ doesn't seem old at all. I wish I had had the chance to start diving at the age of 15 like Aviz. Flo and I did not start diving until I was the ripe old age of 50, and Flo was(She said I'm dead if I post HER age)(Cuarenta Ocho). We haven't looked back since. One of the good things about not diving until a later stage in life is we can now afford to take those trips to the LDS (Lots of Dollars Spent) and then to those wonderful tropcial destinations. Instead just sitting around getting older, we are seeing the U/W part of the world that many people only see on TV or Movies. Man, are they missing our our what? Each time we complete a trip, we are looking forward to the next one, which never comes too soon. After 30 years of marriage, diving as each others buddy has brought us closer together than when we were first married. The buddy system works on land as well as U/W. Well, I guess I had better quit and go take my "Geritol". If any of you know what "Geritol" is, welcome to our age group.

Well, ScubaBurt, I know what Geritol is ( I'm a chick that's been at "29" and standing for a few years..) and I also can read a little Spanish as, I imagine, a lot of the board can... you better start running for your life before Flo can catch you! Then again, she might want to keep you around for her buddy for a while longer? :)

I don't know what Geritol, Carter's Pills, Ex-Lax or Viagra is, so don't ask me.

My age, well let's just say I'm of age!

Hi caymancase,
After 10 years of dating(We wanted to make sure we were right for each other) and 29 years of marriage, Flo knows me quite well and she hasn't killed me yet. She may have had a few reasons to come close but, we are still together and will be dive buddies for many dives to come.
I understand about ladies and the age 29. A lady that works for me just turned 39. ;-0 She has seen 26 celebrations of her 29th birthday and the only reason she moved to age 39 is her youngest daughter(age 30) just had her second child. Somehow the math just didn't work. I guess when her new grand daughter has a child she may progress to age 49.
