... being that it is our last day on the island, but other than diving, what is there to do here??? I ask for any possible future returns here.

Seriously dude? Last day of your vacation and not only are you asking what there is to do but your on the computer/cell phone posting on ScubaBoard! Get a tank and get your butt in the water!!!!!

The Cruzan Rum Factory Tour is a blast. There is a small casino at the Divi resort. Have you visited both Christianstead and Fredricksted? Rent a car and drive the island, there are good roads and the distances between the 2 main cities aren't far and it is very charming.

Fredricksted has cute shops and restaurants. And if you can't dive because of the wait to fly rule, you can still snorkel at the Fredricksted Pier and have a lot of fun.

Here is a live webcam of Christiansted Harbor and it looks like a beautiful day. Hope you had a great trip, please post a report!

It was our second time there and it was nice. We would dive, go to the room( I would sleep, watch tv....) or stay at the pool. In the evening walk to supper then repeat our after dive ritual. Neither my wife nor I really care about renting a car but if there were something that we were missing out on then....

Did you dive Fredricksted Pier?

OOOOOOOOh yea we did the pier, had to. It was great as always. We also did Tide Bottle/Fabuloso the same boat ride, which was a great dive. Salt River, WAPA, Little Mill were also very good dives. On the two days we went west, which was with SCUBA, we had the boat to ourselves. Two of the four days in Christenstead with SCUBA we had around a half boat full. SCUBA was great just as they were on our first trip.

Where did you stay while there? Any accommodations recommended?
We are looking at going there for the first time.

Wish I would have seen your post the day you put it on SB.

For a one day activity I would have suggested the ATV tour with Gecko's Island Adventures which could also be tied in with jet skis after the ATV tour; a snorkeling trip to Buck Island; Cane Bay beach (if you don't dive the wall there you can snorkel and enjoy the nice beach.)

Other ways to pass the time: Cruzan or Captain Morgan Rum Factory tour; the St George Botanical Garden; the Whim Estate sugar mill.

For some sightseeing, a drive through the "rain forest" (an adventure in itself) which would include a stop to see the drinking pigs; Sandy Point National Wildlife Refuge (the sight of the final scene for the Shawshank Redemption); Point Udall, the easternmost point of the United States.

One of my favorite things to do was hike up to Hams Bluff Lighthouse. Great view!

Frank, we stayed at the Holder Dansk which is on the board walk and about a 2 minute walk to SCUBA's boat. There are two more hotels you could hit by swinging a dead cat from the Holger Dansk. The St. Croix Inn (?) and King someone the other( I'm sorry the names escape me however I am sure a google search will bring them up). We looked at rooms in both places and may very well consider the KIng someone somehere yada yada.... If we go back. The Holger Dansk is not bad at all however the room is set up a little awkward.
