Nubble is a great dive. The entry when the tide is low is a bit of a challenge, but either get some help from your buddy [hand and hand down the rocks] or just keep the mindset of "walking on ice with ski boots". Remember, the baby mussels on the rocks make wonderful traction!
Once your in the water, it's a 10-15 ft surface swim to a decent in 25-35 feet of water. Lots of vegetation, lots of little bugs and fish. I've not headed over along the rocks on the left, but I would guess that would be a really nice area. There is also a wall on the right as well.
Remember to bring a camera, even if it's not underwater. Nubble lighthouse is the most photographed lighthouse in the nation, and for good reason! If it's a really nice day, it might be tough to get parking, so car-pool as much as possible.
When I did my AOW dives at Nubble, we had some issues with compasses, so be careful and make sure you pay attention to distinct features on the bottom so you can judge if things don't seem right [our night dive we passed perpendicular to a pipe, and on the return the compasses said we were going due south, but we passed parallel to that pipe]
