Just returned from a great week of diving with Seagrape Plantation, West End, Roatan. My second visit there, last one in 2015. I highly recommend this place.
A combination hotel/dive shop. The hotel is pretty basic, nothing fancy but good beds, A/C and comfortable. They have hotel rooms and some bungalows near the water's edge. The dive shop is on property and really a superb staff, I think 3 boats available while I was there. Three dives a day available at 8:30, 10:30 and 2:30. I bought a 7 night 14 dive package and ended up making 16 dives (had to pay $80 for the last two.) I think my package was around $1100 total for the week...couldn't hardly beat that!!
The dive staff were all superb, Boat Captains and Dive masters all very competent and good to work with. Conditions were superlative, 80 foot + vis every day, water temp 83-84 F; I never wore a wet suit.
Typical dive profile was drop off, swim to the wall, down the wall a bit to 60-80 feet, then a slow climb to shallow water. Sometimes we returned to the boat, sometimes we drifted and the boat met us.
The rides to the dive sits are all pretty short, 5-15 minutes max. I think some times they go to more distant sites depending on weather and conditions, but I was happy with all the dive sites.
They have a small restaurant on site for breakfast and lunch that was superbly convenient; in fact, it was part of my package.
Overall a fantastic trip and I highly recommend this operation!!
