No it's not. Normoxic have a MOD of 210ft, with trimix you can drop the O2 below 21, but I am quite sure you know that.

hmmm....seems that there is a normoxic trimix diver class with IANTD....so unless there is the basic normoxic class....i would say that you are in the wrong...normoxic is trimix....there are different kinds of trimix....but they all the same essentials...three gases...most abundatly oxygen, nitrogen, and helium. and the trimix with O2 levels below 21 percent is hypoxic trimix....or is there a difference there too

Yes, 1.5 is not wierd. 21/40 is normoxic, not trimix. I also use 50% at 69ft and 100% at 20ft (both 1.6 PPO2).

Yes a 1.5 is weird and I have never seen anyone on a boat doing real dives with a bottom mix that high only on the internet do you see it. I am not sure where my old Normoxic trimix card is right now but I believe it stated I could gets fills down to 19% O2 and no matter what the O2% there are still three gases right???? Really 69' because 70' would kill you right?

I believe that TDI is 18% percent for Trimix and then lower is advanced....I'm not sure though

Huh?

Whats a "backup' gas ? or a "bailout" gas / (Talking OC here)

Backup gas is used in the event of primary gas loss. In OC, manifold failure will result in half your gas to be lost. In your case, you will then have to suck air out of your buddy's ar$e because you did not plan for it.

Close.

Let me help. I think what you meant to check was:

not

I know, it can be confusing learning this stuff on your own at home.

I believe Donkey's are the approved backup method among ScubaBoard members.
