Hello all,

I just lucked out and got a 100 HP tank (3500 psi) with a 300 Din valve and I have a few questions.

Are the threads on your 1st stage supposed to get lubed at all when you screw it into the tank valve?

Does anyone know the part number for the o-ring used on a 300 Din? I have a sherwood Maximus, and I would like some spares since I converted my reg to 300 DIN.

I was looking to get a cap and plug to help protect the threads, do normal people do this? I figure that once the threads get damaged I am screwed.

Thanks

No, the threads don't need lube.

I don't know the part number for the O ring, but you can get them here...Oxygen Compatible O-Rings, Lubricant and Tools - Dive Gear Express
I'm sure you can also find other sources that are lots cheaper :)

I have a DIN cap to protect the threads....I got it here...Regulator Accessories - Dive Gear Express It's the second one from the top of the page. I've also got plugs to protect the threads on the valve of my cylinders...it's the one on the top Cylinder Accessories - Dive Gear Express

viton 112 (11/16 outside dia) o-ring. I dont use any lube but I use caps and plugs.
