@SJ - that sounds like an awesome run!! Good for you :)

@DiverG - woohoo, way to go!!

I am in another pit, or at least have been for the past four or so days. Hopefully I'm on the upswing as of this morning. We shall see. Love the rollercoaster - NOT!

Ah the Mud Run - how fun!!

I found out why I was in a pit for a few days, seems I picked up a buggie that was going around :( Laid me out for a couple of days but as of yesterday I'm feeling much better, I so do not do well when I'm sick LOL

Got out for a couple of great beach walks the past couple of days and yesterday did an hour+ snorkel with a friend who is leaving & won't be back until at least the end of September. That really sucks coz she and I usually do stuff several times a week, so I don't know what I'm going to do with all that time again!

I feel like I'm really falling behind and not making much progress on my fitness goals. I've maintained my current weight for a couple of weeks now, so that's a good thing, but I don't feel like I'm getting stronger or leaner. So have to work on that harder. Sucks to work and change and have nothing concrete happen, but one day at a time will get me there...

No ocean photo today, just one of a honeyeater outside my office window - they're cute but oh so loud and annoying!!

    Where is everyone? I'm lonely!!

I'm in countdown mode - officially 21 days left to reach my next set goals (I leave in 22 days!!) I don't think there's any way I am actually going to reach them, unfortunately, but I'm going to give it the ol' college try and at least put a dent in them!

Today I unfolded the treadmill for the first time this year. Am starting nice and conservatively with a 20 minute light interval walk/run. It made me work for it so I think I chose my settings well and I'm feeling pretty good. I had a few little twinges when first starting the walk so I made sure to add an extra minute of warm up and instead of pushing for more intervals I did a nice long fast walk in the middle - seemed to loosen everything up.

I'm hoping to do at least one 20 minute session a day and ideally I'd like to two on days I'm not out diving (and with the damn swell who knows when that will be), but we'll see how I go.

The cats aren't into the whole fitness for pleasure thing :)

Well I haven't had such a great week weight loss wise. I'll need a minor miracle to reach my first big goal at my weigh in tomorrow. I may be within striking distance of breaking even for the week, and maybe if I'm lucky a very slight loss.

I did do an 1 1/2 of walking yesterday, and 3,250 yds of swimming in about an 1 1/2. So I had a total of 3 hours of exercise yesterday. I'm about to go to the gym with the intent of doing 1 hour of swimming. Maybe even another 3,250+ depending on how I'm feeling.

Ya'll are doing awesome! I've been struggling for a long time now. Get some good workouts in, lose weight. Gain back. Lose gain. The same 5lbs over and over and over. And it's all self defeating behavior by me! No amount of encouragement seems to help. Somehow I need to reach down inside me again and get it going.
Tried to run this morning. But everything hurt. I'm a bit tired. 4 nights of 8-midnight on the beach watching an endangered Leatherback seaturtle nest has got me binging in odd hours and not having a regular routine. Turtle season is just starting so I need to get my act together as I know all too well what the season involves.. long hours on the beach at night. The good news is I mostly stand while watching, opting not to sit. Barefoot, so my muscles are working, even if it is low impact.

Keep plugging away Jenny. You know what mistake you are making so you know what to correct.

Tonight I did my longest swim ever. 4,000yds!!

Well I had my weigh in yesterday morning and ended up breaking even for the week. Was happy with that result considering what I weighed Sunday morning.

Yesterday, my plans were to take a 30 - 60 minute walk before sitting down to watch the season finales of my favorite shows, but ended up taking the whol day off from exercise. I stepped on the scale this morning and still lost 1.6lbs and I am happy to announce that i have hit my 1st big goal! Down 46lbs since January the 15, and I'm now weighing 300lbs! I'm not afraid to announce me weight to the world at all. :)

    Way to go, DiverG!

I should be happy with my progress as I've finally crossed the 60kg barrier. And I feel a little cheated because I'm not as happy about it as I should be.

I just don't feel like I'm gaining tone and slimming. Some of my clothes do fit better, of course, but not as many of them as I thought would and I still look all fat and pudgly. I'm eating really well, have only had alcohol two times in the month (here the culture is to drink every day), have been moving my body more and more, actually been getting five or more hours of sleep most nights (had a few with 3 or less, but not many) and in general doing all the good & right things.

Sigh. Oh well. 17 days to go to see how close I get to goals.
