The blurb about the "Discontinued" is why I was looking at it. Looking for a great deal on one figuring that if it is still on your site it must still be available to ship (while quantities last). I suppose I am wrong and you keep discontinued product listed?

On this product, the listing will stay for a little while, not permanently. Not everyone knows there is a 1000 lumen available, and alot of advertising was done to point people to the 500 Lumen. If we take it down, they won't be able to find anything but a dead link....This is not untypical in online stores of newly discontinued products.

Mine show delivered as of yesterday. So I should get them from the APO today! I can't wait. Four shiny new lights to try out!!! I might have to go diving on an early AM dive now.

Pretty much ANYONE that was waiting for one, got theirs shipped out today ;)

The problem with it being modular, is that the light head needs to get bigger for more of a flood light. We could make it more of a spot, but I don't think it is really necessary based on it's current spot. We are working on a flood reflector, but again, you will have to buy a whole new light head....the most expensive part of the light....which means you may as well just buy another light :P

So you are making a flood light head? OK, now I have the questions.... :)

What flood angle is this going to be? Is it going to be a clean even light, or will it have hot spots? 1000 Lumen? I will be looking to set up more video/photo lighting that I can easily carry in thigh pockets and drop in caves at various locations or hand other divers to carry. These could be the ticket if the lighting is clean.

Thanks.

What would make these nicer is a shorter body for two batteries. That would make it more of a back-up IMHO. And sock friendly. I sure could have used a sock last w/e.

Mike, just offer a shorter body that would work with the head, PLEASE.

Well, got mine and am playing with them now. They feel freggin bullet proof. I have already shown them to a handful of divers here who are wanting them. So you might be getting in a couple more orders from here. So far I am pretty impressed with them. The light has a good hot spot that will work great for signalling, but has some good spill. Maybe a little too much spill for my taste, but I can't really say until I get them in the water Friday morning for a sunrise dive. I think these will be a great addition to my kit as my new primary backup lights.

Use my post as a petition, everyone like it if you would buy a two cell body!
