Anyone know of a good RV campground in this area? I'd like to do this dive, but getting a teenager up at 5am (to make the drive) isn't going to happen...
Bad news seems to come in waves... so I guess it's fitting that good news also comes in waves:
First post-op checkup (Wednesday) has me cancer free!!!
Son got his first job as a full fledged fireman yesterday (Winter Haven). Is that effing cool or what?
Wife won her case yesterday (full...
After too many months out of the water, the good folks at Moffitt have given me the thumbs-up to dive! I need an easy, no-sweat dive (lugging tanks is still a bit much). I'm not sure that I can handle being banged around in a boat as yet, so I'm thinking a nice easy float down a spring. Rainbow...
Happy 49'th EAN....
Speaking of 49 and Viagra.... Go get a PSA blood test - don't wait until you're 50. If you wait you may need a lot more than that little blue pill.
LOL! Actually, we do DO that when it's cloudy. Take out the eyepiece, put a camera flash where the eyepiece used to be, point the scope at your favorite bud who's not paying attention and fire the flash. BOOM! Instant white-out that'll have him seeing spots for a number of minutes! :D
Oh no, not rich. That's just the result of "stepping up" a little bit at a time over about 30 years... I built and re-built some of those scopes too, so that helps in the cost department.
In my experience, it depends in the doc. The first doc that performed the DRE had me lay on a table in a fetal position. It wasn't "fun", but it wasn't that bad either. Certainly no pain. The second doc had me stand, bending over legs spread. I don't know if it was the position or the doc, but...
I got my catheter out yesterday! Hoooray! I also got the pathology report yesterday.
Bottom line:
Bad news: The cancer was a little worse than we first thought.
Good news: They got it all out.
Detail:
I was first diagnosed as Gleason 6, T1a. In layman's terms that's the simplest stage 1...
Certainly! I'll be having folks bring me stuff, wait on me, the whole nine yards!
Allen is probably busy getting ready for a big astro shin-dig up in Withlacoochee (Feb 25 through March 1). Most likely grinding on that 16" mirror he's been grinding on the last four or five years... :)
Well, since I'm hooked up to a catheter until 2/4, I'm going to get some mileage out of it. Hook up the "night bag", put a case of beer on ice and not move for the whole game! :D
