Anyone stayed at Bayside Resort in Key Largo? What'd you think?

We stayed in a king room that overlooked the bay. It wasn't as fancy as I thought it might be, but nevertheless it was very clean and roomy.

Anyone stayed at Bayside Resort in Key Largo? What'd you think?

We stayed there last year. No complaints. We had a family emergency in the midst of our 20 hour drive to key largo and Bayside bent over backwards to help us, accomodate us and even squeeze in a dive before we had to shoot up north again eventhough we were canceling all of our revervations and...

    Disturbing advice given

When I was in Cozumel I saw the most beautiful huge barrel sponge I'd ever seen. It was a perfect picture moment, except something was pulling huge pieces of it off. I just about cried. Bad turtle! Someone needs to have a serious talk with those turtles!

    scuba books

I know a great dive book coming out next month.....check out my signature. OH, and if you want to read a funny funny scuba book- Hell Diver's Rodeo. It's several years old, but it was a fast, humorous read. Not many funny scuba books out there.

    Bonaire - security?

We went in August, had no problems. I actually felt more safe than other places I've been. Only thing stolen from our group was a license plate, but it was taken by another member of the group. lol

I Wanna Find Some Shark Toofies

through out this post you have talked about money. It took me a lot of money to get my shark tooth in Venice Florida. We were on our way down to the keys when we got a call about a family emergency, so we stopped in Venice for the night to rest from our 12 hour drive before we made our 12 hour...

Peeing in your wetsuit can be advantageous....

my father-in-law will not pee in his. He'll call a dive everytime to go pee out of the water. I won't dive with him anymore.

    residual narcosis ? . . . or what ?

Not only have I heard of this happening during the dive, I have heard of several people having memory lapses or blank outs hours post dive. Has this ever happened to any of you? Normally after 130+ dives.

    Hello from IN

I've been lurking a long time, just decided to say hi. I'm landlocked in Indiana, but hey if the flood waters keep rising, maybe I'll be able to dive in my back yard! I try to cross the border at least a few times a year and the US border at least once for some nice clear water to dive. Gela
