Hello fellow southern divers, I heading to Myrtle Beach from Dec. 3rd to the 7th and I'm hoping to get some diving in, preferably wreck diving. Do any shops run charters in Dec.? Looking for recommendations. Thanks.

It's rated to 100ft. but I had it to 110ft on the first dive and it worked fine though I wouldn't take it much further than that so I don't think this would work at the 170 - 200ft range.

I had the privilege of diving the wrecks of the St. Lawrence seaway a couple weekends ago and we stopped into Dive Tech up in Mallorytown, Ontario and I happened upon a small box up near the front counter showing a sportbike rider with a small camera mounted to his helmet. Being to curious SOB...

"Bumblebee" I was told was put there by the dive shop over in Portsmouth NH. I don't know that I'd exactly call it a wreck but I guess technically it is. It's something to see down there anyway when your with students.

Oh, I know Tim. I was one of the guys in the drysuits and on the first dive I was freezing. Second dive with different suit, dry gloves and proper thermal underwear was like night and day. I was almost dare I say comfortable.

Does anyone know when scalloping season begins and what the regulations are?

Was told by several people that they closed several beaches in Maine because of a couple of mako sharks in the area. Particularly long sands and short sands beaches as well as Nubble light. Anyone have any info on this and is the ban still on? Have a group heading out to Nubble this Friday...

This is a constant problem with the Apeks dry sealed system. I've broken 2 spanner wrentches already on these regs. Now, if I get a real stingy one, I soak it in really hot water for 5 - 10 minutes and possibly drop the whole thing in the sonic cleaner for 5 minutes. Then I put it in the vice...

Thanks for the clarification Scott. I appreciate it. As far as location and orientation, wouldn't it make more sense to put the dumps on the tank side. In a horizontal swimming position or head faced slightly down to descend it doesn't make sense to have them on the diver's side. Air goes to...
