Wow... just so you know I have never been there diving or out of the country diving for that matter. I have been on scubaboard for a while now. I just don't do many posts. Now I'm getting bashed for knowing them and diving there all the time. Nice
It's good to know I can keep killing these things. I am seeing them more and more. Killed one at Ftl. caves couple weeks ago. Saw one on the Mercedes wreck when i went back the next week it was gone. Hope someone killed it and it did not just leave.
someone told me not to spear them because if you spear a lionfish they release their sperm or eggs in the water (don't remember which) has anybody else heard of this?
I got the Aqua Lung Pro LT. I like it however the Balance feels more comfortable to me I dove in my friends Balanes and just liked the feel of the back inflate style.
I have been diving in my boardshorts and 1mm chest for about 3 weeks now in Ft. Lauderdale. I'm in the water 4 days a week and used to the water temps. Most people are using shorties on the boat or 3mm full. Bottom line everyone is different.
The Aqua Lung Zuma travel be is nice. I thought is looked like it would not hold up but no problems at all our first mate uses it and being on the boat 5 days a week it gets LOTS of use and abuse. he said it's comfortable also.
I went to Pro Dive for the career program. You learn allot not just in the classes but also you learn about what is going on on the boat. It was an awesome program and experience. Everyone in my class got a Job in the industry. I was actually hired by Pro Dive and could not be happier.
If you learn with a back inflate you will not have any trouble. If you are correctly weighted you will be fine they are very comfortable. The only drawback to me is that they do not have allot of pocket space, usually only has a pocket.
SPG cliped to my lower left d-ring, my SMG to my lower back d-ring that way it's always out of the way, when I use my reel I clip it to my lower right d-ring. I keep my wrist compass attached to my LP inflater hose
It sounds like your BC is a little big also like someone said if it is pulling you forward it sounds like a back blatter BC they have a tendency to do that a jacket style does not do that as much.
for the mask since its a rental put the defog in it and just dip the mask in the water don't use...
