I am very much new to this sport and am leaning toward a bp/w configuration for several reasons. I am wondering who besides Halcyon makes them. I'm just curious, and am not in anyway saying I don't like halcyon, just curious.

Lots of manufacturers make them, including Halcyon, Hammerhead, DiveRite, Deep Sea Supply (DSS), OxyCheq, FredT, OMS, Golem, and many others.

I think every major dive manufacturer has their version
Not yet ... but the major players are finally starting to see that it's more than just a niche market ...

Some (Scubapro, Dacor) used to make them but no longer does so.

Thanks for the help everyone. Being new with so many choices, it can get a little overwhelming and what was once clear gets muddied.

For the most part, they're all the same. Some are of higher quality, some are more expensive. Try one out and see if you even want to dive with it in the first place. The are few advantages to a BP/W over other BC systems unless you are diving technical, where it's the current standard.
