The manta in question...

That looks like it may be a mobula ray; we have a couple species that are occasionally sighted in FL. Back in 2015 or 2016 I saw three Chilean devil rays (Mobula tarapacana) out on the Jupiter Deep Ledge.

Manta rays (such as the newly described Mobula yarae that lives along the southeast Florida coast) come out the chute with about a five-foot wingspan; we had two this week south of Sebastian Inlet.

Are there any operators going out the Boca Inlet and diving reels from Delray to Hillsboro? I used to dive with a couple of them a while back but now that I am back into diving regularly, I can't find any.
I'm bumping this post to see if anything has changed and there is are any dive boat operations using the Boca Inlet and diving north and south of it? This would include any private boats looking for extra divers for dive buddies and to share costs.

Diversity was the only charter I was aware of that went out the Boca Inlet and he has retired and sold his boat.

You might want to stop in at Force E Boca's store and talk the store manager. There are private boats that launch from trailers near the inlet but their interest/activities may be different than what you want.

I know... I'm trying to find out of whoever bought the boat has surfaced and possibly is running dive trips

I heard they moved the location of the boat, which is not surprising, but I don't recall the details. I may even be remembering that incorrectly. If I were running charters I would not want to use that inlet. Great dive sites nearby for sure, but a crappy inlet to get in and out of.

Captain Luke ,,,,formerly with Scuba Club and then Kyalami Scuba Club ,,,,purchased the Diversity Boat himself from Tony. If you have ever dove with Captain Luke, his reputation for putting divers on the WPB wildlife is impeccable. And I've been with him is some hellashish nasty weather and he got everyone back safe . Captain Luke has started ShellBack Diving charters and several of us have been on his boat (tagging @MrChen ). Shellback is running out of Riviera Beach City Marina in WPB and you can check the above link or his pictures/Trips/schedules on Facebook.
