Good question--so far, I'm having some issues with water coming into the cups. Hoping a hood will help with that.Why do you want the ear cups fully covered? Do they not feel secure with the dual straps?

More pressure isn't always the answer. Masks leak when the straps are too tight. Not sure about your hair situation but a few strays or stubble could be enough to get your ears wet. I have that problem with my mustache. I know what they are and have zero experience with them. Just figured too much pressure or a hair would likely cause issues like the skirt on a mask. You could try a headband temporarily to see if the added pressure from that reduces the water ingress.This is what I'm talking about:
