Hi - I am looking at the Hollis Neotek and Apeks ThermiQ semi-dry suits to extend my season in New England, but I’m concerned about ther attached hood sizing. I’ve never been a “One Size Fits All” when it comes to hats and typically wear an XL or XXL in hoods. Can anyone provide insight on attached hood sizing on the Neotek or ThermiQ? I couldn’t find hood sizes listed on their respective sizing charts. I haven’t had the opportunity to try either on for size, but anticipating that it might be an uncomfortable squeeze, I’m also looking at the Waterproof SD with a detached hood. Thanks!

I wear a 2xl Neotek and a 7.5" hat. That is either an XL or XXL hood depending on brand. The attached hood on the 2xl suit fits me very well.

Thanks Tracy! How do you find it getting in and out of the attached hood? I’ve read some comments that it can be challenging.

The hood is the easiest part. The suit is an absolute bear to get out of by yourself. Never had any issue with the hood part of it.

I have to remember to wear a dive skin under my Neotek to make getting in and out easier. It probably negates some of the benefit of the seals, but it's been working for my usage. If it's that cold, I'm going dry anyway...
