Can a dent on the body of a first stage lead to corrosion?

Short of re-chroming not really. One could put clear fingernail polish on the spot. But at this point I would just rinse and dry well.Yes, you are right, the regulator (apeks fsr) is chromed brass and the brass is visible in the dent ("golden colour").
No way to repair it right?
If you can send it back that’s probably what I would do but if it was very cheap, good rinsing and complete drying before any storage will likely be fine.Hi guys!
I know this is an old thread . I just wanted to know . Just bought an used first stage FSR from Apeks and just discovered it has a lot of scratches but also chrome is corroded on some parts. Do you think this is bad to use ? Send it back ?
