Fascinating. I have never heard of this, but yes, it sounds like clever marketing. What, specifically, do they do for you as a Century Diver that they would not do for another diver?
Foot and back rubs for starters. My favorite cocktail. Four employees carrrying me on a throne to the boat.

That's just for starters. I don't want the dive center owners of other agencies to feel bad for being so behind in customer service.

How did the dive shop treat you differently from others?
Big smiles. Discounts on my purchases without even asking. Remembering my (very complicated) last name. Being treated like family. Even being allowed into staff only areas like staff men’s room 😊.

Wow! And for just 100 dives? One wonders what they would do with a Platinum 1000 or, God forbid, a Platinum Pro 5000 (which you can get with 2500 dives if you know somebody...)?

Is this at the one shop you are always at a lot, or at new SSI shops as soon as you walk in and check in at the front desk with your platinum card? Do you check in at the front desk with your platinum card??

Interesting approach. I just don't see how they know until you flash the card.

I don’t have a LDS since I left Cape Verde. I mostly travel to dive and I dive when I travel if diving is possible. I contact the diving shops via Whatsapp or email and we exchange. I send my cards that way even before reaching the country. And when I get there, it’s almost like everybody knows me already. It happened to me in France, Thailand and in Dubai. But there were small shops with few employees (max 10/ 20?). Maybe in big US shops, that would be less personal.

When I go to an SSI shop with my Century Diver card, I am treated like in the Skyteam lounges worldwide with my Platinum card. I get the red carpet.
Interesting. When I go to my preferred dive shop (SSI shop) I’m also treated well, but it has absolutely nothing to do with my Specialty Diver, AOW, or Century Diver recognitions. Nor does it have anything to my Level 5 status. They treat everyone that walks through the door well. That’s why I use them, even though though there are several dive shops closer to my house.

Michelin star food cooked by your favourite chef on a custom kitchen on the inflatable RHIB.

During the interval, Andrea Bocelli surfaces.

Surprise … he has a proper suit under his drysuit and starts singing while you eat. Dolphins join in the celebration.

Meanwhile, your drysuit is kept on a gentle warmer ready for your next dive.

Heated dressing/donning and undressing pool beside the main boat with entry hatch below the swells and a beach chair and sun umbrella topside.

The discount % is directly proportional to the type of card you are holding?
How about the diving rate? Most places that I have been do offer discount on minimum number of dive.
