I've worn it in the pool and hot tub, and maybe once or twice when swimming in the ocean, but even that is pushing it. 50m is shower rated. When they get to 100 or 200 I'll upgrade and take it snorkeling. My Seamaster comes diving, the Apple Watch stays on the boat.
Now there are Casio watches that have altimeter, barometer, thermometer, and electronic compass, and 200 m rating. I wonder if they can be taken diving, and if the compass works underwater.
