Folks do the math, these are MP72s. And remember they are a full 72 at 3300psi.

For the OP. The MP72 are okay cylinders as singles. LP66 have better buoyancy characteristics. I had set of them as doubles years ago and sold them (with bands and a face sealing manifold) for $300. Probably worth about the same may be less $50 without the bands and manifold.

I have seen these type mid pressure tanks a couple times. They are a little heavier. They would make ok sidemount tanks for drysuit diving, or CCR bailout with helium.

They are fabulous cold water sump tanks. Might be hard to find a buyer in SC as they are a niche cylinder.

I reached out to Faber

Did you do it like this man

Those are likely M71SDVB cylinders.

They predate Blue Steel, and may not be the exact same specs. The old buoyancy specs are -3.7 to -8.45 which seemed to be right when I was diving my buddy's. I liked diving them, especially for hiking into a dive site, cold water.

Look like nice tanks
I definitely would dive then,
To bad they aren't north of the border I would buy them.

The 3000#, 3300# with the +, was Faber's first MP tanks, later they built 3180# tanks, 3498# with the +. Since they are 3AA tanks, they are heavy and have very negative buoyancy chactoristics. I can get a lot of lead off the belt with the 120s I have.

Saw your post about the 3000 psi nonstandard size faber 72s - I may be able to get bands to double them, wondering if you’re interested in selling?

Hey there, I have a set of Faber LP72 Tanks and was wondering if anyone had input on what they are worth if i were to sell them. They are smaller in circumference than the typical LP72. AL40 rigging fits them. Just had VIP and Hydro done 12/2020. They have thermo modular valves. All the information is below:
DOT-3AA 3000-87/9015/ 072 M8303FABER ITALY 0387+ (left tank)
DOT-3AA 3000-87/9015/ 028 M8303FABER ITALY 0387+ (right tank)
Hydro: 12/2020
Vis: 12/2020
Circumference: 19”
Height (without Valve): 25.5”

Any thoughts on what i could sell them for? Thanks!
